Banana Bread

1)2 cups all-purpose flour
2)1 teaspoon baking soda
3)1/4 teaspoon salt
4)1/2 cup butter
5)3/4 cup brown sugar
6)2 eggs, beaten
7)2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Method Of preparation:
1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease and dust with multi purpose flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2)In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
3) blend together butter ,sugar and eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
4)Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
5)Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center
of the loaf comes out clean.

    Though I made this so as not to waste the bananas, it is my favorite snack at the moment. It came out really well..first day it had that overwhelming banana taste, but now that all the flavors settled down, it is so yummy!! thank you srishida.. also since i am yet to buy a loaf pan, i made it in the cake tin :D

    one question, have u tried making this with wheat flour?

  2. Hey Stella great to know it came out well :) . This recipe is inspired from Achoo. Haven't tried with wheat yet. Sounds a healthy substitution. But I guess still some all purpose flour would be needed.
